FUN FACT: The bad guy in the fight is Kenneth Lo. He was originally a head of security at a nightclub in HoNgkong. Then he was hired as Jackie's bodyguard because back then, Jackie had some trouble with the Triads & needed protection. After seeing Ken's fighting skills, Jackie offered him a role in this movie. This long fight in Drunken Master 2 wasn't supposed to be Jackie vs Ken. It was supposed to be Jackie vs another stunt actor. But the stunt actor was injured so bad during filming, he couldn't continue. So Kenneth Lo stepped in & the whole scene was reshot.

I can explain about the gun dumbness. You see, India has no gun culture, or people don't own guns, or seen or touched one, unless THEY REALLY WANT TO, go through this lengthy process to obtain one that will take years and years. Anyways, so most people don't have gun awareness. Like if a balloon bursts in the US, or South America anywhere, these people will immediately be like omg was that a gunshot and duck. But Indians dont have that. And also, even if someone pointed a gun at them, the average Indians dont feel THAT fear that they get when someone showed them a machete or a knife and THEN THEY run. Another reason is that, most guns that are officially owned rarely work, they get jammed, the cops accidentally shoot somoene while cleaning gun, most of the guns dont work when needed as we see in the news, like during Mumbai terrorist attack, the cops that had rifles were not used for so long that they just jammed when they needed to use them. So in this scene, as real and as aware as you are that if only he had pulled the trigger it would have been over quickly BUT since the target audience are Indians, it wont really have that effect where say Jason Statham aimed and shot someone quickly to save a child like in the western movies. So the director made a call to show the gun, but since it wont really register as an efficient weapon (Eventhough it really is) in the audience minds. Once guns become widely used or allowed to own, THEN the movies will adapt to show scenes like that (in realistic movies) Not masala movies where they use guns all the time and never run out of bullets.
